Holiday Dinner

The annual holiday dinner celebration for members and their guests will be on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at The Manor on Glen Lake.

Role Models for Girls

Committees and Chairs

Throughout the world each Zonta Club organizes committees to advance the goals of the club. Committee chairs help establish committee goals, track progress, schedule committee meetings, and encourage active participation of committee members.

Service and Status of Women Committee

Works on our local service projects such as the annual area Career Day, Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship, Young Women in Science scholarship, Alice Busby Miles for Mammograms Walk, highway cleanups and the mastectomy comfort pillows sewing project. We provide financial support to Zonta’s International Service programs which include Amelia Earhart Fellowships and Zonta International Strategies to Prevent Violence Against Women.

Membership Committee

Sets short and long term membership development goals, works on member retention and member development, develops a mentoring program for each new member and does regular evaluations of membership development efforts.

Public Relations and Communications Committee

Responsible for internal and external communications, media relations, public relations and communications, archives and history and marketing and brand management.

United Nations Committee

Focuses on keeping the club up to date on what is going on with Zonta International’s programs with the United Nations and with other Zonta international efforts.

Finance Committee

Prepares, submits and gets approval of the budget, then monitors it. Finance committee members also work on fund raisers with other committees, as appropriate, suggest investments and make an annual financial report.
