The Zonta Club of Leelanau County meets the second Wednesday of each month from September through May.
The Zonta Club of Leelanau County’s last general meeting was Wednesday, October 12, at the Village Inn in Suttons Bay. The meeting featured a discussion about the relationship between communication and early childhood brain development by Maggie Sprattmoran.
Maggie Sprattmoran has had the pleasure of working in the field of early childhood/community development for over 30 years. Maggie is committed to comprehensive universal early childhood service delivery—which is the model of the award winning Leelanau Children’s Center. Maggie has taught pre-schoolers and college students, been an eternal student (two MAs) herself, participates in a number of regional early childhood initiatives, and makes her home, gardens, swims, skis, and enjoys the bounties of life in Leelanau County despite the pull of wherever her two marvelous daughters are currently dwelling.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, November 9 at 6 PM at the Village Inn in Suttons Bay and will include the announcement of and recognition of this year’s recipient of the Zonta Club of Leelanau County’s Woman of the Year Award.

All members are welcome to attend the Club Board meetings at 4 PM on the Monday before the first Wednesday of each month.
