“When I retired from my teaching career down state and moved to Lake Leelanau in 2000, I knew I wanted to become involved in an organization that allowed me to make friends with women in my new community and volunteer my time to civic projects that would benefit my community and make the world a better place to live. I especially enjoy working on Career Day for eighth grade Girls in Leelanau County.”
